Hello! My name is Kelsea Adams and I am double majoring in Marine Biology and Education along with the Honors College. I am from Long Island, New York and I grew up in an extremely small town called Mount Sinai. The community was so close and everyone knows everyone and I loved that aspect of my town!One of my passions in life is working with children and I absolutely love teaching them! I have been dancing since age 2 and I also have been teaching dance for 5 years now back at home. This year I am doing a program called Jumpstart where you work with children in a nearby preschool throughout the year. It is a huge commitment and you work to achieve over 300 hours of service.I also love everything having to do with the water! I love to go on my boat, go scuba diving and go wake boarding with my family and friends. This year I am joining the scuba club and the ski club, Habitat for Humanity and Best Buddies. At home I was a member of Best Buddies for four years and held numerous officer positions during that time. Best Buddies is a nationwide organization, which pairs you up with children and adults with disabilities to help you form a friendly relationship. Back at home I also participated in numerous beach cleanups and a Mari culture club, which we helped to restore the clam population in Long Island Sound.
